Monitoring
INSPIRE Monitoring and reporting is used to support the monitoring of the implementation and development of INSPIRE and NIPI over time, including checking compliance with legislative requirements.
## Requirements
The monitoring process is carried out annually by 15 December, when the European Commission uses the metadata published for the Slovak Republic through the National Search Service. After their analysis, it will evaluate the indicators defined in the INSPIRE legislation. At the same time, Member States are invited to update the report in the form of a Country Fiche. The results of the monitoring are then appended to the end of the updated report and made available through [The European Commission's INSPIRE web site](https://inspire.ec.europa.eu/INSPIRE-in-your-Country/SK).
## Benefits
INSPIRE monitoring provides an overview of the content of European infrastructure as well as national infrastructures. It allows obliged persons to monitor the level of compliance with legislative requirements and users to access spatial data through services.
